NVE Bank Donates $15,000 to Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund

It’s been just over six months since Hurricane Sandy devastated communities all along the East coast. In December, with millions of New Jersey residents impacted by the devastation of the “Superstorm,” NVE Bank, launched a fundraising campaign in its 12 branch locations throughout Northern New Jersey to raise funds for the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The Fund, chaired by New Jersey First Lady Mary Pat Christie, was created in November 2012 to assist in immediate relief and long term recovery and rebuilding efforts across the state. NVE pledged to match every dollar donated to the bank on behalf of the charity.

Today, with the hurricane gone but far from forgotten, we are proud to announce that through the generosity of our customers and employees, NVE was able to raise $7,500 for the Fund. NVE has matched that amount, enabling us to donate $15,000 to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.

On April 9th, President and CEO of NVE Bank Robert Rey presented First Lady Mary Pat Christie with a check for $15,000 at a major donor reception held at Drumthwacket, the official residence of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
