NVE Bank is awarded First Place in the Community Bank category of the Jewish Standard publications annual Readers’ Choice Award – for the fifth year in a row!
As one of New Jersey’s strongest Mutual Banks, we are honored and proud to once again be voted favorite community bank among Jewish Standard readers in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties! This vote of confidence and trust from our loyal customers never loses its luster. We are proud of our history and we will continue to do everything in our power to maintain this position for years to come.
NVE Bank supports local students through its Annual Scholarship Program.
There is nothing more important to the health and welfare of our communities and our country than educating our children. That’s why NVE has offered scholarships to local middle school, high school and college students for the past six years. To date, NVE has awarded over $85,000 to deserving students, helping them achieve their dreams of higher education and making the world a better place for all of us.
NVE Bank honors employees with PRIDE Awards.
NVE’s PRIDE Awards are presented to employees who have taken extra steps to embody the NVE spirit through volunteerism, superior customer service and skill-enhancing educational initiatives. 23 employees were the first recipients of the award, which will be bestowed annually on staffers who go above and beyond their prescribed job responsibilities. The award recognizes exceptional performance in volunteerism, education, customer service, business referrals and cost saving/revenue generating initiatives. PRIDE stands for Positive, Responsible, Involved, Dedicated Employees and our 2013-2014 recipients truly exemplify these attributes in word and deed!
NVE Bank supports the American Heart Association
NVE Bank proudly served as a sponsor of the 2014 Bergen Passaic Heart Walk, held at Van Saun Park in Paramus this summer. Over 55 employees, friends and family participated in the event, which serves as a signature fundraising initiative for the American Heart Association (AHA). NVE Bank also donated $5,000 to the AHA, supporting its efforts to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Employees, family and friends represent NVE Bank at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Foundation’s 15th Annual “Walk for Awareness.”
In addition to a substantial presence as a sponsor of the event, NVE also successfully raised over $4,000 to assist Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s fight against breast cancer. Funds were raised through team sponsorships, pink ribbon sales at our branches, and an employee “Jeans Day” initiative. We are proud to partner with Englewood Hospital to raise funds for the Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. We are so thankful to our staff and customers for their generosity on behalf of this worthy cause.
NVE Bank Spreads Thanksgiving Cheer to Neighbors in Need.
NVE’s annual Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the families who rely upon the Office of Concern Food Pantry at St. Cecilia’s church in Englewood was a huge success. Through donations by staff and customers, NVE was able to donate more than 70 bags of food to the pantry, whose volunteer staff supply weekly groceries to over 800 families in Englewood and surrounding Bergen County communities. Staff members also volunteered at the Pantry, distributing more than 800 turkeys to needy families in the days prior to Thanksgiving.
NVE “shares breakfast” through our Spring Cereal Food Drive.
NVE is serious about cereal! We collected and donated more than 600 boxes of cereal to the Office of Concern Food Pantry’s “Share Breakfast” program. Thanks to our generous customers and staff, pantry volunteers were able to provide a nutritious breakfast to those in need.
NVE Bank Executives Take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Members of NVE Bank’s Senior Management Team participated in the ALS Association (ALSA) Ice Bucket Challenge and offered employees the chance to dunk their favorite executives in exchange for a donation to the Association. The initiative resulted in an $800 donation to ALSA, with funds raised through employee contributions, plus a corporate donation from NVE. Watch the video here!
Thank you to our devoted staff, loyal customers, supportive communities, and extraordinary partner organizations for another year to be proud of. We can’t wait to see what 2015 brings!
